Careers: Construction Technician

Community Energy Services is seeking a construction professional to conduct home repairs and energy efficiency measure installations. Candidates should have strong construction skills, be able to work in a safe and efficient manner, have good communications skills, and be able to work independently.

Responsibilities and Duties:
* Install energy efficiency measures in local residences and perform related testing (combustion appliance safety tests, blower door and duct blaster)
* Provide information to clients about work performed
* Conduct minor home repairs, which may include plumbing, carpentry, and electrical improvements

Required Qualifications:
* 5 years construction related experience, which may include installation of energy efficiency measures
* Ability to pass a federal and State background check
* ESAP Weatherization Specialist certification preferred
* Basic skills in math and English
* Committed to high quality work and service to the community
* Skills repairing and inspecting electrical and/or plumbing strongly preferred
* Familiarity with Healthy Homes, green building principles, and lead safe practices a plus
* Three professional references required

Salary and Benefits:
* Salary ranging from $15-18 an hour to start
