CESC provides a variety of services that increase the health, safety, and energy efficiency of homes. These services are free to Bay Area residents with low incomes. For those residents who don’t meet the income standards for our free programs, CESC provides home improvement services on a sliding scale. All of our services are high quality, low cost, and provided by a trustworthy team of experts with a strong interest in serving the community.

Our Affordable Home Improvement Program provides low cost home repairs that improve safety and energy efficiency to homes throughout the Bay Area.
Our Healthy Homes Program removes and remediates asthma triggers at no cost in households where asthma sufferers reside in West Contra Costa County.
Our Home Repair Program provides free home repairs to low income residents in Berkeley.
We also perform RECO audits. For property sales or transfers in the City of Berkeley, you must take steps to meet energy efficiency standards and pass an audit. CESC conducts these audits quickly and at a low cost.
Our Residential Energy Efficiency Services are free to low income homeowners and renters and include: replacing old appliances, attic insulation, weatherstripping and caulking, and repairs to hot water furnaces, doors, windows, walls, and floors.
With our SmartSolar Program, we advise you on your property’s solar potential, provide educational materials, and assist you with your project from proposal to installation.
